About

A senior engineer, not an agency.

Most studios put an account manager between you and the person writing the code. There is nobody in between here — which is the point.

Rafaelle

Founder & Principal Engineer

You will not be handed to a junior.

The person who scopes your project is the person who designs it, builds it, and answers your email two years later. Nothing gets lost in translation between an account manager and a developer, because there is no translation step.

Thirteen years of that work has been in enterprise software — systems where a failure is not a cosmetic bug but a locked gate, a miscomputed payout, or a patient record in the wrong hands. That is a different discipline from building marketing pages, and it is the one AscenderTek brings to every project, down to the smallest.

AscenderTek itself is new. The engineering behind it is not. Those two facts sit side by side on purpose — you are hiring the thirteen years, and you should know exactly what you are getting.

Career totals across thirteen years in the industry, not figures for the studio's first year.

How we work

Five commitments, held to on every project.

  1. 01

    One person, start to finish

The engineer who scopes the work designs it, builds it and supports it. No handover, no briefing a third party on what you already explained.

  2. 02

    Fixed scope, fixed price

You get a written proposal before anything starts, and three rounds of revisions per stage with sign-off at each milestone. Extra rounds are quoted first — never billed as a surprise.

  3. 03

    Security decided early

Access control, encryption and audit logging belong in the architecture, not in a pre-launch checklist. Retrofitting them costs far more than building for them.

  4. 04

    Performance is a budget

Sub-two-second loads and 95+ Lighthouse scores are treated as acceptance criteria, not aspirations. This site is held to the same numbers you are quoted.

  5. 05

    A straight answer about fit

If a template would serve you better than a custom build, you'll be told on the first call. Taking work that doesn't suit either of us helps nobody.

Track record

Where the thirteen years went.

  1. 2026 — Present

AscenderTek · Founder & Principal Engineer

Independent studio building custom websites, web applications and SaaS platforms for clients in the Philippines and worldwide. Current work includes DentaCloudPH, a live multi-tenant clinic management platform.

  2. Earlier · PrimeIT Source Inc.

    Lead Developer

Led development of Prime Campus Link, a campus security and notification system joining RFID turnstiles to a live student, parent and teacher database, with SMS delivery over a multi-SIM modem array. PrimeIT Source Inc. has since closed.

  3. 13+ years

    Enterprise software engineering

Across that span: business systems, line-of-business applications and integrations, in environments where correctness and uptime were the requirement rather than the goal.

Credentials

Security is an architecture decision, not a final checklist.

DentaCloudPH handles patient records under the Philippine Data Privacy Act (RA 10173). That obligation shaped the schema before it shaped the interface: encryption at rest and in transit, role-based access control, a full audit trail, and tenant isolation enforced at the data layer rather than trusted to the UI.

That is the standard every project inherits — including the ones that never touch regulated data. It costs nothing extra to build something correctly the first time, and a great deal to retrofit it later.
